I’ve Renewed My Vows To Music [Day 3]

To me, this artist is so unique but so untapped in my social circles. SIA is not only one of my more recent musical addictions but she’s been a lyrical inspiration for all things upside down and inside out in my life. :) She speaks from the soul in a honest and sometimes uncanny way. Her voice is raw and slurry. Sometimes I can’t understand what she’s saying but that’s the mystery that I like so much. She’s known for her song “BREATHE ME” from the TV series Six Feet Under. Its eerie and inviting from some cold dark place. Here’s a live version.

This got me interested in her. Once I heard that, I had to check out more. Here’s a song that anyone without her cd “We Are Born” probably hasn’t heard. And if you own it, you probably listen to it repeatedly.  Its a great song about knowing what you want and what you deserve in a relationship..This is an awesome acoustic version! It’s called “BE GOOD TO ME“.

Lastly….. I love social media outlets….because, a reader of my blog let me know that I was missing out on a really good cover by none other than Ellie Goulding. Check out her awesome cover of “ONLY GIRL IN THE WORLD” by Rhianna. It’s folky and her choices in the arrangement I just love. She totally made this song a tad bit more intimate for me. The strings in the background are awesome, adding suspense to her voice.

A Little Bzz About the Domino Project

So I’m a BzzAgent.

What that means is I get the opportunity to test and try different products and tell the world how awesome or awful they are. They don’t pay me for it, it’s just something I do for fun. Every time there is a new product or service to try, it’s called a BzzCampaign. My most recent campaign is for The Domino Project.

Here is why they are so cool….

The Domino Project partnered with BzzAgents and every month or so they send me a new e-book. These e-books aren’t just novels, they are books that motivate and give direction for business people especially but can be relatable for any reader.

The book I’m reading right now is called Read This Before Our Next Meeting. It really is funny because it talks about how we spend so much time planning the next meeting that we actually spend no time working. I’m behind on all the books they’ve sent to my Kindle but I’m working on catching up. More details next time.
